The benefits of maple syrup for the skin
Our climate: a creator of exceptional plants
Our workshop is located in Canada, a country where mountains, freezing winters and boreal forests meet.
This is why since I launched the line, local ingredients from Canada have always inspired me in the creation of my products. The resilience of plants to find various survival mechanisms makes them ingredients of exceptional quality, rich in antioxidants, vitamins and trace elements.
Maple syrup in cosmetics?
Hey yes! Among the many ingredients that the boreal forest can offer us, maple syrup is the very first local raw material that I integrated into my products 10 years ago.
The properties of maple for the skin are numerous. So here are a few:
Moisturizing
As maple syrup is a sugar concentrate, it acts as a moisturizing active ingredient for the skin and thus helps to retain water in the skin for a longer period of time.
Regenerating
Maple syrup is rich in vitamin B1 and vitamin B2, which helps strengthen and tone the structure of the skin.
Antioxidant
Maple syrup contains no less than 65 different polyphenols that act against premature aging of the skin.
Do-it-yourself moisturizing face mask
Ingredients :
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon of plain (or vegan) yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of oat flour
Directions:
Mix the 3 ingredients together.
Since not all flours have the same grain size, add a little more oatmeal if the mixture is too liquid for your taste or a little maple syrup if the mixture is too thick.
Apply to clean skin and leave on for 10 minutes.
With your hands, rub the mask on the skin to exfoliate dead skin and rinse with warm water.
Did you know that the maple syrup we use comes from my family? My aunt and uncle from Ferme Picady produce the best maple syrup the traditional way.
Maple syrup, the star of our Porcelain Skin moisturizer
With its enveloping texture that deeply hydrates, our moisturizing cream revitalizes, soothes and softens the skin, thanks to the virtues of maple syrup.
Active ingredients in symbiosis with maple syrup
Hyaluronic acid - A natural molecule that retains 1000 times its weight in water and is the most effective ingredient to prevent skin dehydration.
Labrador Tea - This local essential oil from Canada is a bomb of antioxidants, in addition to softening the skin for a comforting effect. No more itchy skin!
Jojoba esters - Extracted from jojoba oil, this active ingredient creates an imperceptible moisturizing film on the skin to retain hydration for several hours.
The benefits of our cream
Hydrates for more than 24 hours thanks to the benefits of maple and hyaluronic acid.
How to use it well?
As this cream is concentrated, a small amount of product is enough. Apply all over the body or on dry areas and massage in with your hands. It is ideal as a cream for the body, hands and feet.
Recommendations
Can be used daily or as needed. This cream is particularly effective in winter for clients with easily dehydrated skin.
Have a good day beautiful! xx
